We stand behind the quality of our courses. If you're not satisfied, request a full refund within 7 days of your cohort start date.
1. Refund Eligibility
1.1 7-Day Window from Cohort Start Date
You are eligible for a 100% refund if you request it within 7 calendar days of your cohort's official start date.
Important: The 7-day window begins on your cohort start date, NOT your enrollment date. If you enroll 2 weeks before the cohort starts, the refund window begins when the cohort starts.
1.2 Refund Eligibility Examples
- Enrollment Date: March 1, 2026
- Cohort Start Date: March 15, 2026
- Refund Request Date: March 20, 2026 (5 days after cohort start)
- Result: ✓ Full refund approved
- Enrollment Date: March 1, 2026
- Cohort Start Date: March 15, 2026
- Refund Request Date: March 25, 2026 (10 days after cohort start)
- Result: ✗ Refund denied (beyond 7-day window)
- Enrollment Date: March 10, 2026 (offline course, immediate access)
- Refund Request Date: March 15, 2026 (5 days after enrollment)
- Result: ✓ Full refund approved (within 7 days of purchase)
2. How to Request a Refund
2.1 Refund Request Process
To request a refund, follow these steps:
- Email us at refunds@algoengineer.com within 7 days of your cohort start date.
- Include the following information:
- Full name
- Email address used for enrollment
- Course name and cohort start date
- Reason for refund (optional but appreciated for feedback)
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.
- Processing: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.
2.2 Refund Timeline
Email Confirmation: Within 24 hours
Refund Processing: 5-7 business days
Credit Card Refund: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank)
3. Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used during enrollment:
- Credit Card: Refund appears on your credit card statement within 5-10 business days after processing.
- Debit Card: Refund credited to your bank account within 5-10 business days.
We do not issue refunds via check, wire transfer, or alternative payment methods.
4. What Happens After Refund
4.1 Course Access Revoked
Once a refund is processed, your access to the following will be immediately revoked:
- Student dashboard
- Course materials and recordings
- Problem bank and code editor
- Mock interview scheduling
- Live Zoom classes
4.2 Re-Enrollment
You may re-enroll in the same course or a different cohort at any time. However, you will need to pay the full course price again. Promotional pricing may not apply to re-enrollments.
5. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds are NOT available in the following cases:
- After 7-Day Window: Requests made more than 7 days after cohort start date
- Course Completion: If you have completed more than 50% of the course curriculum
- Account Violations: If your account was terminated due to Terms of Service violations (plagiarism, content sharing, harassment)
- Bundle Partial Refunds: If you purchased a bundle (e.g., DSA + System Design) and completed one course, we cannot refund the bundle price
- Promotional Discounts: If you used a promotional code, the refund is based on the discounted price you paid, not the original price
6. Upgrades and Downgrades
6.1 Upgrading to a Bundle
If you enrolled in a single course and want to upgrade to a bundle or All-Access Pass, you only pay the difference in price. Contact us at support@algoengineer.com to arrange an upgrade.
6.2 No Downgrades
We do not offer downgrades from bundles to individual courses. If you purchased the All-Access Pass, you cannot receive a partial refund to downgrade to a single course.
7. Special Circumstances
7.1 Medical Emergencies
In case of medical emergencies or unforeseen life events, contact us at support@algoengineer.com. We may offer:
- Cohort transfer to a future session (no additional charge)
- Extended refund window (case-by-case basis)
7.2 Course Cancellations by AlgoEngineer
If AlgoEngineer cancels a cohort due to insufficient enrollment or instructor unavailability, you will receive:
- Option 1: Full refund processed within 5 business days
- Option 2: Transfer to the next available cohort at no additional cost
