1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AlgoEngineer's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AlgoEngineer ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in Texas, United States.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Account Creation

To enroll in courses, you must create an account by providing:

• Full name
• Valid email address
• Phone number
• LinkedIn or GitHub profile (optional but recommended)

2.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account at security@algoengineer.com.

2.3 Account Restrictions

You may not share your account credentials with others. Each account is for individual use only. Account sharing may result in immediate suspension without refund.

3. Course Access and Enrollment

3.1 Lifetime Access

Upon successful payment, you receive lifetime access to all course materials, including:

• Recorded lecture videos
• Problem bank and solutions
• Course handouts and resources
• Access to the student dashboard

3.2 Live Cohort Sessions

Live instructor-led sessions are available only during your enrolled cohort period. Once the cohort ends, you retain access to all recorded sessions but cannot attend future live classes without enrolling in a new cohort.

3.3 Course Modifications

We reserve the right to update course content, curriculum, and instructors to maintain quality. Any significant changes will be communicated to enrolled students via email.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 One-Time Payment

AlgoEngineer operates on a one-time payment model. There are no recurring subscription fees. You pay once and receive lifetime access.

4.2 Pricing

All prices are displayed in USD. Current pricing includes:

• Single Course: $499 - $699 (depending on course)
• DSA + System Design Bundle: $899 (save $100)
• All-Access Pass: $1,499 (save $500)

Promotional pricing and discounts are available at our discretion and may change without notice.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Helcim, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store your full credit card details.

4.4 Failed Payments

If your payment fails, you will receive an email notification. You have 48 hours to resolve the issue before your enrollment is cancelled.

5. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from your cohort start date (NOT your enrollment date). For full details, see our Refund Policy.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Share course materials publicly or with non-enrolled individuals
• Record or redistribute live classes or instructor videos
• Use automated tools to scrape or download course content
• Submit plagiarized code or cheat on mock interviews
• Harass or abuse instructors, TAs, or other students
• Violate any laws or regulations while using our platform

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 AlgoEngineer Ownership

All course materials, including videos, problem sets, code solutions, curriculum, and platform software, are the intellectual property of AlgoEngineer and are protected by copyright laws.

7.2 Limited License

You are granted a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access course materials for personal, non-commercial use only.

7.3 Student Submissions

You retain ownership of your code submissions. By submitting code, you grant AlgoEngineer a license to store, evaluate, and display your submissions for grading and analytics purposes.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 No Job Guarantee

AlgoEngineer provides educational services only. We do not guarantee job placement, interview success, or salary outcomes. Your success depends on your effort, skills, and market conditions.

8.2 Third-Party Services

We use third-party services (Zoom, YouTube, Helcim, AWS). We are not responsible for service interruptions or data breaches by these providers.

8.3 Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that course materials are error-free or that all techniques will work in all interview scenarios.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlgoEngineer shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Failed job interviews or employment outcomes
• Damages arising from third-party service failures (Zoom, AWS, etc.)

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold AlgoEngineer harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your misuse of course materials
• Your infringement of intellectual property rights

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@algoengineer.com. Note that account deletion does not entitle you to a refund if the 7-day refund period has expired.

13.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abusive behavior.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
